Suggested reading. The Diary of a Russian Priest is a jewel of a book and has many insightful sayings about life in general.  I would recommend it.  It is by Alexander Elchaninov.  The book can be found by searching the internet or by ordering it from the Antiochian Village Book Store.  I think that you will come away with a better insight into true humble Christianity.
